Principles

The relationship between the clients and the provider of the social services is based on an agreement, which is in accordance with the Social Services Act. The clients are, in advance, informed on the key documents of the facility and also on their rights. Before their cooperation, the client and the provider agree on the range and manner of the social services offered. Signature of the agreement is immediately followed by planning the course of the services including the special pedagogy, treatment and rehabilitation plans together with a schedule tailored individually for the client. These plans are always striving to help the clients reach their personal aims. The planning process is flexible.

Through the adaptation procedure, the users of the services maintain close contact with the professional staff who are at hand to resolve any possible problems immediately. With support of the team of professionals, the individual clients choose a particular key member of staff who plans their aims for future with the client.

The client is free to adapt his/her daily programme according to their ideas and habits. They can participate actively and thus decide on how they use the services. The clients´ representatives have got the possibility to be members of the catering commission and so on.
The accommodation facility opens continuously and in accordance with needs of the clients, their legal representatives and custodians. Provision of the social services prevents the users with lower self-reliance from being excluded from society. Every one of them is seen as an individual with specific needs. The services are always based on individual attitude of the staff, their optimism, sensitive and caring approach towards the clients, all of that in accordance with legal standards and regulations. The clients are entitled to full board (5 times a day), necessary nursing, rehabilitation, social, educational and therapeutic treatment. They can also participate in our cultural, social and sports events according to the schedule offered by the provider in scope of the local community. The programme includes elementary school attendance modified for persons with a disability. Secondary school attendance is also possible. In that case, the educational programme covers that one of an apprentice school.

The clients also receive support in case of working in a dedicated workshop run by the VDI Styl company regrouping people with a disability. Another option is to use an agency which specializes in localizing job opportunities for those requiring support at the workplace.

The users can also use the Rehabilitation Centre in Sazamov located close to the city of Domažlice. Priority is given to children to whom the institutional care had been allocated by authorities. In the children’s case, the provider cooperates with the authority providing legal protection to the particular child. This place is an ideal relaxation spot. It is fully accessible for the physically disabled. All clients can move freely within the public premises of the facility and beyond.
